Village Defense – Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Village Defense mobile game processes and why. By using the app you agree to the processing described here.
Data controller: Erkam Cengiz (Bursa, Türkiye)
1. Data we process
Account information
An account is required to keep your progress and to run the leaderboard. Depending on your sign-in method we process:
- Email address (email sign-up, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple)
- Authentication provider identifier (technical id of your Google / Apple account)
- Username — chosen by you
Passwords are never visible to or stored by the game; authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Gameplay data
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Run results (wave reached, score, duration, kills) | Leaderboard, history screen, reward calculation |
| Progress summary (best score, highest wave, total runs) | Leaderboard ranking |
| Diamond balance and diamond transaction ledger | In-game currency accounting and auditing |
| Weapon upgrade levels | Persisting progress across devices |
Device and technical data
- An app-generated random device identifier — not a hardware identifier; attached to run submissions for anti-cheat and support
- Platform, app version and build number — compatibility, forced-update and maintenance checks
- Error and crash reports — via Sentry; may include error context, device model and OS version
Analytics
Google Firebase Analytics measures in-game events: run start/end, wave progression, tower placement/selling, rewards, ad-watching steps and purchase steps. These are used to balance and improve the game.
Advertising
An optional rewarded ad is offered at the end of a run; watching it is never required. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / Advertising ID) and sends a verification request to our server containing your account id and run id so we can confirm the reward was genuinely earned. The app is currently not distributed in the European Union. If distribution there begins, you will be asked for in-app consent before personalised ads are shown and this policy will be updated. See Google's partner policy.
In-app purchases
Diamond packs are sold through the App Store and Google Play. Your payment and card details never reach us — they are handled solely by Apple and Google. We only receive the store's transaction identifier / purchase token, which we verify with the store's servers before crediting diamonds. The identifier is stored so the same purchase cannot be credited twice.
2. What is publicly visible
Your username, highest wave and best score are visible to other players on the leaderboard. Your email address is never shared with other players. You may choose a pseudonymous username.
3. Service providers
| Service | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting of accounts, gameplay data and backend |
| Google (Firebase Analytics, AdMob, Google Play) | Analytics, ad serving, purchase verification |
| Apple (App Store) | Sign in with Apple and purchase verification |
| Sentry | Error and crash reporting |
We do not sell your data or transfer it to third parties for marketing purposes outside of the advertising services listed above.
4. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in-app via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, or start a verified request using the Account & Data Deletion page if you cannot access the app. On deletion your authentication record is permanently removed, your profile is anonymised and dropped from the leaderboard, your progress and session records are deleted, and your run history may be retained in anonymised form for game-balance statistics. Purchase records may be retained in anonymised form to meet accounting obligations.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (KVKK in Türkiye, GDPR in the EU) you have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data. Use the contact address at the bottom of this page to exercise these rights.
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we become aware of such data, we delete it.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated. Material changes will be announced in-app or on the store listing. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
